We have had a proven record of producing the most educated professionals. And, it is this reason the journey which started with the establishment of a single institute in the year 1998, has never ceased to grow. Our very first educational institute was G H Raisoni College of Engineering in Nagpur. Today, we are the proud owners of 24 institutes including 2 universities, spread across 7 cities including Nagpur, Jalgaon, Pune, Amravati, Ahmadnagar, Raipur, and Chhindwara. Undoubtedly, we are the leading educational network in Central India.
With over four decades of combined history, the Group has diversified in the fields of Manufacturing, Distribution, Marketing, Construction and Healthcare. Presently, the Group’s concentration has been more of the fields of Education which paves the way for success stories and builds a better tomorrow. An innovative approach at every step towards success sets the RGI apart. We chose to provide practically oriented education combined with a strong academic focus, developed specifically to meet industry needs.
Since the start of the journey, our motto has been ‘the vision beyond’.
And, it is for the students to comprehend the motto in accordance with their perception. They can associate it with a vision beyond sight in order to accomplish the goals which are far away from their sight. Or, as a vision beyond dreams, enabling them to work with diligence, achieving the limitless sky! Or, even a vision beyond excellence, nurturing in them the power of knowledge. So, come over and start the journey which motivates you at every step, which gives you wings to soar new heights.
The attributes which we are proud of:-
“Think Education, Think Raisoni” is not the motto of our team, it is the most heard sentence of Central India.
“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think”
This is verbatim applicable to the school of thought which RGI is all about. My Father Lt. Shri Gyanchandji H. Raisoni was a visionary and an inspiration. He aspired for a group of institutions impeccable, excellent and powerful in the context of the Indian society. It is his dream which has been accomplished in the form of The Raisoni Group of Institutions.
Over the last few decades, the development of technology and innovation has aided us in refraining from the barriers. It has instilled life to creativity. Presently, the world economy is experiencing an unprecedented change. Our belief lies in our young students. We believe that the awareness imparted to them will continue to grow and sprawl. “THINK EDUCATION THINK RAISONI”
Shri. Sunil Raisoni
Teaching and learning is an evolutionary procedure. Its development is culminated with the conjoint effort of educators and students. Technology has definitely rendered forms to enhance the efficiency of shared knowledge. It, in turn, has resulted in the crumbling of the geographical barriers. It has also ensured the world to become a platform of opportunities for education, employment and entrepreneurship unrestricted by any community or country. The ‘Indian mind’ and the ‘Diligent Indian worker’ are the most recognized and applauded brands on the international market today. We together can capitalize this on the goodwill. As of present, India is poised for a global breakthrough. It is attributed to the value education which we give in our country. So, let us spread the light of knowledge, let us envision the dreams to come true, let us sow the seeds of success.
Remember that when we work as one, every competition challenging our competence will fade! “Knowledge is power”-Let’s not make this just a quote we read, let’s breathe it!

The objectives/intended outcomes of this best practice are:
The faculty members have been provided laptop with data card facilities and every cubicle is also equipped with a desktop computer. This is done in order to upgrade to the changing trends in the teaching learning pedagogy. The Context of Quality teaching is defined in terms of effective academic techniques to achieve desired learning outcomes of students. It involves several dimensions, including the effective designing of the course contents as well as bridging the gaps in the curriculum and facilitating the exchange of relevant information.
In a regular Practice the course outlines and the course schedules are drawn well ahead of the course commencement. The teaching learning process is regularly monitored by the Principal, by taking into consideration the feedback given by the students. The department submits an annual report on the activities comprising academic activities, research and extension activities, innovations in teaching/learning, publications, staff and student achievements, extra and co-curricular activities to the IQAC. Departmental meetings are conducted once a month and/or whenever needed. The minutes are documented and signed by Principal. Relevant records such as result analysis, syllabus completion report (in order to ensure timely completion of the syllabus) etc. are submitted by the HOD to principal. Feedback is taken from the students at the end of every semester for teacher evaluation.
The objectives/intended outcomes of this best practice are:
The Teaching – learning process at GHRIIT faces an interesting challenge of diversity of students in terms of learning abilities, socioeconomic backgrounds and prior education backgrounds. Another major challenge that has been faced in general is the decreasing attention span of students added with low motivation to attend classroom sessions. The institute has a strong belief that a student can learn best by doing and not by merely listening or reading. Hence, the faculty members have been initially encouraged to conduct some activities and games in classrooms to break the monotony and boredom. The review of this initiative was very impressive and encouraging. Hence, the institute has started establishing a formal Activity Based Learning (ABL) mechanism. The ABL is an innovative, interesting and corroborated classroom transaction model. ABL describes a range of pedagogical approaches to teaching. Its core premises include the requirement that learning should be based on doing some hands on experiments and activities.
The Practice: Institute has acquired a model of Activity based learning through years of practice and eventually has evolved in to combination of events like role play, theme based poster making competition, ‘jallosh’- the annual inter-collegiate sports event, live projects, industrial Tours (national and local), Peer learning, movie club and ISR activities etc. Each event provides different learning experience and sharpens different set of skills. All the events are entirely designed, developed and managed by students who work in three levels of management. From this entire process, students learn the basics of Organising, staffing skills, planning, implementation of strategies, time management, etc. They inculcate discipline, leadership event management skills, too. Organizing and participating in these activities inculcates in them a healthy competitive spirit along with teamwork blended with a sense of achievement. Also, by actively participating in the events the students get a chance to interact with each other, know their strengths and weaknesses and learn from each other. Gender ratios are maintained properly in each team. The events are conceptualized, designed and effectively implemented by students themselves which is a result of motivation given by the teachers and propelling the initiation.
The objectives/intended outcomes of this best practice are:
The alumni of the institute are placed as working professionals in different segments of the corporate sector, thus, providing a wonderful mix of diverse experiences. Most of the earlier batch students are now placed in higher positions of authority in whichever sector they are operating in. This provides the institute access to a large and diverse range of experience available from the alumni for sharing with its students. This also enables the institute to involve all such alumni in bridging any gaps in the curriculum and/or knowledge dispersion processes prescribed by the University. The institute, therefore, has decided to make use of its strong alumni network by having a regular and organized Alumni – Institute Interface, thus ensuring that the students get an opportunity to learn from actual practitioners who are also stakeholders in the development of the institute. This is a multidimensional practice that safeguards the interests of all of its stakeholders such as students, alumni, faculty and industry.
The Practice: Since inception, the institute has given immense importance to alumni and has always been trying to strengthen the alumni network. The In charge faculty member for alumni matters, Training Placement and the executive members of Alumni Association are regularly in touch with alumni from various batches so that their current positions and profiles are known to the institute. To facilitate a platform for reunion, the Alumni meet is organized every year.
The objective of this practice is to attract larger number of student stakeholders from different sections of society. College management provides various concessions such as Natural progression within the group, Achievers in sports, attracting sibling stakeholders etc.
1. Students participation in teaching underprivileged children at Antarbharati Ashram
Every Saturday between 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm the students visit “Antarbharati ashram”, where they impart knowledge and play games with the wards of the underprivileged people in the society. The purpose of the visit is giving it back to the society in any which way possible. Through this initiative the students have started developing genuine concern towards downtrodden and underprivileged children.
In order to spread this genuinely developing concern the interested students are sent on rotation basis.
2. Shuttle bus service for teaching and nonteaching staff, students and housekeeping staff:
The institute takes care of all the above mentioned stakeholders who travel by local transport by providing free shuttle bus service that connects them the main stream transport facilities available nearby on two major connecting roads.
In order to arrest the locational dis-advantage of absence of local transportation halt facility this initiative has been taken by the institute.
